Rendering is the process of creating a visual representation of something - a building, character, scene or object. There are many different styles of rendering, such as by using photorealistic techniques that mimic the appearance of reality, or by using stylised techniques that emphasise artistic expression. Architectural renderings involve many steps such as 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, scene composition and post-processing In this course, you will learn how to use V-Ray for SketchUp, one of the most popular and powerful rendering software in the market, to produce realistic and impactful renderings of your 3D models.
  • What are the learning objectives of the course?
This complete guide will teach you how to use V-Ray for SketchUp to create stunning CGI of your 3D models. This includes how to apply realistic materials and textures, how to set up natural and artificial lighting, how to optimise your render quality and speed, and how to use the new features of V-Ray for SketchUp.
  • What are the most important skills that I will learn from this course?

  • What is the level of difficulty of the course?
This course was written with all rendering levels in mind. The early lessons will get you used to navigating the V-Ray interface whilst the latter stages discuss complex topics like scene composition, depth of field and lens effects. As comprehensive a guide to V-Ray for SketchUp you will find; there are lessons to be learned for all levels.
  • What are the prerequisites for this course?
Please note that the course does assume a working understanding of SketchUp; the host 3D modelling software. For more information on SketchUp training, please reach out to us directly with your requirements.

You can learn whenever and wherever it suits you. In the live, in-person course, you will join live sessions with your lead trainer (and other learners in group sessions) at scheduled times. You will be able to interact with them, ask questions, get feedback, and participate in group activities. Check out our Top-Up courses if you would like to know more. Both courses cover the same content and learning objectives, but they offer different learning experiences depending on your preferences, availability, and learning style.
